Memorial service on the first seven days

It was originally a memorial service held on the seventh day after the deceased's death, but it is now often held following the funeral or farewell ceremony.

Memorial services until the 49th

Generally, memorial services are held on the 35th and 49th as important days of death.
The 49th day in particular is considered an important day of death, and it is customary to invite relatives and friends to hold a memorial service.
Recently, it has become common for funerals and farewell ceremonies to be followed by 49-day memorial services, including the first 7-day memorial service. (The 50th day after 49 days is the day of mourning.)

Anniversary memorial service

The memorial services held after the 49th day are the 100th anniversary, the 1st anniversary, the 3rd anniversary (2nd year), the 7th anniversary (6th year), and the 13th anniversary. It is a good idea to make sure to invite those who helped at the funeral and those offering the eulogy to the memorial service up to the first anniversary of the death.
Additionally, it is ideal that memorial services held after the first anniversary of the death be held on the same day of the deceased's death. This month and day is called ``Shotsuki Meinichi.''

Hanamaki Onsen can be used for not only funerals and farewell ceremonies, but also memorial services and memorial services.
We also do everything in our power to ensure everyone's satisfaction, from creating the venue to suit the number of participants, to giving gifts to guests.

The date will be decided 6 to 2 months in advance.

The date of each memorial service is chosen either on the anniversary of the person's death or on an earlier date. It is believed that delaying is disrespecting the deceased.
If the event is hosted by a company, they will be inviting business-related people, so if you choose a daytime time on a weekday, a lot of people will be able to come.
The date should be decided at least 6 months in advance, but at least 3 months in advance.
You may decide to do so after inquiring about the convenience of the main guest.

Information will be sent 1 month in advance

Information regarding the memorial service will be sent by letter.
I will send it to you at least one month in advance. The text should be written in a loving manner, remembering the deceased and thanking the person inviting them.

What you need

  • Date and time of the memorial service (please also specify the day of the week)
  • Location (address, phone number)
  • Time required
  • Presence of meals

Please also include a note requesting that you attend in civilian clothes.
If you decline the gift, we will clearly state that fact.
Be sure to include a reply postcard requesting RSVP.

The people you invite will be based on their relationship with the deceased.

First, we will contact your family.
After that, we invite mainly those who cared for the deceased and those who were close to the deceased, rather than those who were related to the client.
It is up to the party to decide whether or not to attend.
It would be rude to make assumptions such as ``That person probably won't be able to come'' and omit the information.
Since the memorial service is to be made in front of the spirit, there is no need for any unnecessary reservations or omissions.
