Kunio Kindaichi, the founder of Hanamaki Onsen, opened the resort in August 1920, drawing hot water from the hot springs, on a far grander scale than his original plan of ``building a resort area in Hanamaki comparable to Takarazuka.'' I did.
In addition to the first inn, Hanamorikan, Shounkaku, Koyokan, Horaikan, and Senshukaku inns, there are now defunct rental villas, public halls, playgrounds, zoos, tennis courts, pools, and Japan. Equipped with the first night ski resort, it has developed into a comprehensive leisure land.

Established Hanamaki Onsen Co., Ltd. in 1928. In the same year, Hanamaki Onsen received 2 million votes in the ``Japan's New Eight Views'' popularity poll sponsored by Osaka Mainichi Shimbun and Tokyo Nichiichi Shimbun. Just four years after opening, it became number one in the country and became well known throughout the country.
Currently, Hanamaki Onsen operates four hotels and inns, each with a different style. The three hotels are connected by a passageway, and guests can freely enjoy visiting the hot springs and enjoying the public facilities at each hotel.

Many literary figures
visited Hanamaki Onsen,
There are many poems and
poems written in praise
of the wonderful scenery.

photo book

A ``photo book'' that remembers the time when Hanamaki Onsen was founded.
Precious photographs taken in the early Showa era show the charm of the various facilities that cannot be seen today, such as the zoo and tennis courts, as well as the bustle of the people. Hanamaki Onsen has continued to heal many people for a long time.
Take a time trip to the starting point of a major resort facility.
